The Assistive Technology Program is the section of SADI that offers loan medical equipment and demonstration of a variety of adaptive devices for independent living. In the privacy of the SADI office, the consumer will have the opportunity to receive the assistance and guidance from the Assistive Technology Coordinator (ATC) on different medical equipment and adaptive devices available as well as proper demonstration for home use. The following are the services and opportunities provided by the Assistive Technology Program :
- Loan Closet
-Designed to allow consumers the opportunity to loan medical equipment at no cost.
- Show Room
-Private demonstration area where consumers can view and test a variety of equipment with the assistance of the AT Coordinator
- The Rehabilitation Services for the Low Vision Center
-A library of devices specified for those who are blind or with low vision.
- Telecommunications Access Program (TAP)
-Provides adaptive telephone equipment as well as computer hardware and software for Internet access.
- Donate to Loan Closet
-Medical equipment donations are needed for the SEMO Tech Center for Assistive Technology. The AT donation page presents the designated needs and how to donate.
