The Show-me Employment Project (WIPA)?
Under this program, a community work incentive coordinator (CWIC), provides advisement on Social Security work incentives under SSDI and SSI such as:
- Nine month Trial Work Period
- Extended Period of Eligibility
- Continuation of Medicare coverage
- Subsidy
- Impairment Related Work Expense
- SSI Base Rates and Calculations
- Earned Income Exclusion
- 1619B Extended Medicaid Coverage
- PASS Plans
Information on benefits is provided on an individual basis. Plans for added services are developed with the consumer as needed. Accommodations will be provided upon request (i.e., interpreter, large print, Braille).
Who is Eligible for Services?
Any individual with a disability who is currently receiving some form of Social Security Benefits (i.e., Social Security Disability Insurance, Supplemental Security Income, ect.) is eligible for services from a CWIC.
